Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised assistance to disabled customers and customers with reduced mobility, ensuring an effortless and enjoyable airport experience.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other airport departments.
  • Assist customers with check-in procedures.
  • Escort passengers through security and immigration.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests, demonstrating problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting customers into and out of their mobility aids as part of a lifting team.
  • Drive Ambulift vehicles from the terminal to the aircraft as part of the team.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service skills; experience in customer-facing roles (retail, hospitality, sales) is preferred.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fully flexible to cover a 24/7 operation, including night shifts, early mornings, weekends and bank holidays. Shift lengths between 4–12 hours.
  • Clean and valid driving license; LGV driving experience is preferable but not required.

Contract & Benefits

  • Permanent annualised hours contract: you are paid for 21 hours per week. At peak times you may work additional hours; at quieter times you may work fewer than 21 hours per week. Salary remains based on 21 hours per week.
