Join us from March ’26 onwards at London Stansted Airport as part of the Terminal Security team.
£15.35 per hour (£13.85 p.h. during initial 3-month probation period) with additional allowances, including 20% shift pay. Minimum of 20 - 30 hours per week, depending on availability. Flexibility is required to cover a range of hours and weekends. This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026.
The role of Security Officer is vital in ensuring that all passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey. In this exciting role, you will be involved in:
- Conducting hand searches of customers and cabin luggage as required in Security
- Operating high-tech security equipment such as X-Ray machines and body scanners
- Patrolling our terminal and manning posts
- Checking staff ID cards and customer boarding cards before entering the security area
- Delivering great service to our customers
No security experience is required as we offer full training, but experience in a customer-focused environment is ideal. We seek enthusiasm, a proactive attitude, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. As the face of MAG, you should be well presented, punctual, and focused on attention to detail.
Please note, all candidates must have perfect colour vision and the role will require long periods of standing, bending, walking, and manual handling. Successful candidates will receive a conditional offer subject to Pre-Employment checks and passing an initial four-week training course (40 hours - Monday to Friday), which is fully paid. Our checks include a Criminal Record Check, 5 years employment history, and a Counter Terrorism Check. A face-to-face medical appointment is also required.
