As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Integration AI team, you will lead a team of skilled AI engineers, driving automation, efficiency, and innovation across the integration platform.
The Global CTIO has a mandate from the Maersk board to lead the Technology transformation of Maersk, enabling the business strategy to become the global integrator of container logistics through digitising business processes and customer engagement.
Our Integration Platform is a digital marketplace that connects various groups (Maersk Customers, Developers, Commercial Teams, Digital Partners, and Aggregators) to our Maersk Portfolio, allowing for easy and efficient data exchange, resulting in cost and time savings. This role combines technical leadership, strategic thinking, and people management to deliver world-class developer experiences and AI-driven insights from customer integrations.
Specific Job Requirements:
- Lead and develop a team of software engineers, managing performance, career growth, and succession planning.
- Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for the integration platform in alignment with business objectives.
- Own delivery of solutions and projects, ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and measurable business impact.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics for initiatives including efficiency gains and ROI.
- Partner with fellow engineering managers, solution architects, and product leadership to identify high-impact opportunities across the integration platform.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, experimenting with emerging AI technologies and driving their adoption.

- Drive end-to-end responsibility and T-shaped people mindset in development team(s).
- Facilitate the work of development team(s) focusing on delivering value to our business customers.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction on complex architectures and implementation decisions.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise standards for data privacy, security, governance, and ethical practices.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across business lines to drive adoption and value realization.
- Drive a culture of experimentation and learning, enabling the team to innovate and continuously improve.
- Communicate roadmap, progress, and business impact to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Seek regular feedback and showcase progress through demos.
- Enable data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
- Experience in cloud-ready, scalable, high-availability platforms and products.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between integration engineering teams to ensure customer value.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering with deep expertise in AI technologies and applications.
- Demonstrated leadership experience (7+ years) managing engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and talent development.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects that drive measurable business value and efficiency gains.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with metrics-driven management, continuous improvement methodologies, and agile delivery practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and innovation mindset with mentorship and coaching abilities.
- Experience with integration platforms, EDI systems, and enterprise middleware technologies.
- Proven experience with cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, scalable APIs.
- Experience in AI/ML integration, data analytics.
