We are delighted to represent a family-run food manufacturer located in the breathtaking Llyn Peninsula, North Wales. Just a stone’s throw from the coast, this picturesque location offers the perfect environment to unwind and recharge after a fulfilling day at work. Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Technician to assist the Technical and General Managers, to ensure the highest quality and safety of their products while maintaining their prestigious AA+ BRC accreditation. Job role: * Monitor process operations and verify that key parameters or critical control points are operating within acceptable safe limits by testing and assessment. * Document and quarantine material that is found to be outside agreed limits or found unacceptable. * Be able to calibrate testing equipment, such as Metal Detector, Ph meter, digital thermometer and balances. * Interpret the data collated and communicate when outside agreed limits to Managers and colleagues. * To conduct site audits concerned with hygiene, housekeeping, fabric, HACCP, pre-requisites such as stock rotation and Quality Management Systems. * Assist the Technical Manager with the maintenance of the Quality Management Systems and HACCP plans. Qualifications & Experience: * Must have experience as a QA within a food manufacturing environment (essential). * HACCP, Auditing and Food safety qualifications (essential). * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for fostering a collaborative work environment. What’s on offer: * Salary: £13.54 per hour – 38hr week * Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:45am – 4:15pm, Friday: 7:45am – 3:30pm (some overtime may be required during busy periods) * Holiday allowance – 28 days inclusive of bank holidays * Pension contribution. * Birthday leave. * Christmas shut down. * Employee discount. * On-site parking.
