With a strong reputation in smoke ventilation maintenance, our client is looking for a motivated electrician to join their team and train as a Smoke Ventilation Engineer. Experience in smoke ventilation isn't essential as full training is on offer from the start. What counts is a solid electrical background, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine ambition to progress within the business.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Service, repair, and maintain electrical and pneumatic smoke ventilation systems (Automatic Opening Vent systems), dampers, and smoke curtains across commercial and industrial sites.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
- Fault finding on electrical control panels.
- Provide on-site support and guidance to customers.
- Complete accurate documentation and reports.
- Participate in an on-call rota.
What You'll Need:
- NVQ Level 2/3 with hands-on experience in a commercial or industrial environment (Essential)
- This is a field service position, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling across the UK as part of your day-to-day role.
- Comfortable working at heights and occasionally staying overnight (expenses covered)
- Experience with single and three-phase electrical systems
- Fault finding on electrical control panels (Essential)
- Experience with contactors, relays, inverters, and timer relays, pneumatics and compressors (Essential)
- Full UK driving licence (Essential)
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Desirable)
