Job Description

Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Process Controls Engineer looking for a new career opportunity? Our client, a reputable manufacturer based in the Greater Manchester area is seeking a talented individual to become an essential part of their dynamic team.\\n\\nJob Details:\\n\\n * Develop, maintain and optimise control systems implementations including operation and maintenance procedures.\\n\\n * Participate actively in department/plant safety programs.\\n\\n * Design, implementation and testing of control system changes required due to equipment upgrades and new product introductions and process improvements.\\n\\n * Function as a troubleshooter to provide technical support to operations and field technicians.\\n\\n * Perform system analysis, scoping studies, improvement, front-end design work, and/or collaborate on designs with consultants and contractors.\\n\\n * Develop and install advanced controls that ensure line management and plant operators can achieve the optimal run-point for each process to achieve production targets.\\n\\n * Support two manufacturing sites – Manchester (80%) and Germany (20%). Some travel to Germany is required approximately 2-3 times a year.\\n\\nQualifications/Experience/Requirements:\\n\\n * Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering (essential)\\n\\n * 3-5 years of proven experience in the maintenance of control systems within Chemical or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (essential)\\n\\n * Previous experience with Siemens PCS7 DCS platform (essential)\\n\\n * Must be willing to travel (essential)\\n\\nWhat’s on offer:\\n\\n * Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 16:00pm (Must be willing to support after office hours as and when required)\\n\\n * Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (doe)\\n\\n * Annual leave – 26 days + Bank holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years employment)\\n\\n * Pension scheme – 6% Ee & 12% Er\\n\\n * Life insurance\\n\\n * Working from home\\n\\n * Gym membership\\n\\n * Health & well-being program\\n\\n * On-site parking\\n\\n * Private medical insurance\\n\\n * Referral program\\n\\n * Sick pay\\n\\nPlease note: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
