Our client, an international manufacturer renowned for its well-known household brands, is currently looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team. They invest in training and upskilling. You would be joining a settled team where engineers tend to stay long-term. It is a highly automated site with a strong mix of electrical and mechanical work, offering long-term stability.

There is plenty of project work to get involved in, not just day-to-day breakdowns. There is ongoing investment in the site, with opportunities to engage in improvement projects. You would be working across a wide range of equipment including:

  • Conveyors
  • Robotics
  • Packaging lines
  • Fillers
  • Drives
  • Flow wrappers
  • Cappers
  • Pumps
  • Valves

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that preventative and reactive maintenance duties are carried out across the site.
  • Identifying and supporting initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with other maintenance team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Liaising with the Engineering Team Manager for workload planning and technical support.

Requirements:

  • Engineering skills obtained by a time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3).
  • Previous experience within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing environment (Essential).
  • PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Familiarity with packaging lines, drives, conveyors, rotating machinery, pumping equipment, and valves.

Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights)

Salary: £53,600 (annual pay review)

Overtime available at time and a half

Holiday allowance: 24 days

Pension contribution: Matched up to 8%
