Madisons Recruitment are currently working with a maintenance contractor in the Hertfordshire area who specialise within the social housing sector. Our client is currently recruiting for a Bid Manager/Tender Proposal Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis within their Hertfordshire office; the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in submitting successful bids to Local Authorities and/or Social Housing Associations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the bid process from start to finish, ensuring that all proposals are compelling, compliant, and submitted on time.

Duties

  • Oversee bid requirements and develop strategies to enhance the competitiveness of proposals.
  • Produce costings for the works required and tender to clients, associations & authorities successfully.
  • Work alongside all teams including sales, marketing, and technical departments to gather necessary information for bids.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of bids, ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the bidding process to ensure alignment on objectives and expectations.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform bidding strategies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in bid management or a related field is essential.
  • Experience in using CRM systems will be advantageous.
  • Experience in submitting successful bids to Local Authorities and/or Social Housing Associations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A background in construction or related sectors would be beneficial but not mandatory.

Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per annum depending on experience.
