Our ambition is clear: to build one of the UK's leading coaching‑led fitness businesses. We are actively preparing to open our second location within the next 12 months and are looking for an exceptional General Manager who wants to play a meaningful role in that journey. This is an opportunity to lead our flagship site while working directly alongside the Founder to develop the systems, people and culture required to support future expansion. For the right person, this role offers a genuine pathway into senior and multi‑site leadership as the business grows.

As GM, you will have overall responsibility for the performance of the club. You will lead a team of approximately 8–15 people across coaching, sales and operations, while driving membership growth, retention, operational excellence and financial performance. You will be expected to lead from the front, maintain exceptional standards and ensure every member receives an outstanding experience. Alongside the day‑to‑day leadership of the club, you will work closely with the Founder and senior leadership team on projects that support future growth and expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team
    • Create a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement
    • Conduct regular one‑to‑one meetings and performance reviews
    • Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development
    • Develop future leaders within the business
  • Commercial Performance
    • Drive membership growth and retention
    • Support sales performance and conversion targets
    • Build relationships with local businesses and community partners
    • Monitor and improve key business performance indicators
    • Identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability
  • Member Experience
    • Ensure every member receives a world‑class experience
    • Work closely with the Head Coach to improve retention and member satisfaction
    • Monitor and improve NPS and member feedback scores
    • Build strong relationships with members and actively respond to feedback
  • Operations & Financial Performance
    • Ensure the club is consistently clean, safe and exceptionally well presented
    • Oversee operational systems, maintenance and facility standards
    • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
    • Monitor wage costs, operational expenditure and site performance
    • Contribute to the development of systems that can scale across future locations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a General Manager, Club Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role
  • Experience leading and developing teams of 8–15 people
  • Proven experience improving membership growth, retention, revenue or overall business performance
  • Strong leadership, communication and people‑management skills
  • Commercial awareness and confidence working with KPIs and business metrics
  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving ability
  • A genuine passion for health, fitness and personal development

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience within premium or luxury fitness
  • Experience within boutique fitness or personal training‑led businesses
  • Experience within premium hospitality environments
  • P&L ownership and budget management experience
  • Experience supporting growth, expansion or multi‑site operations
