Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the school library
  • Supporting students with research, reading, and study resources
  • Assisting students in finding books and educational materials
  • Maintaining and organising library resources and book catalogues
  • Supporting literacy initiatives and reading programmes
  • Supervising students using the library during break and study periods
  • Assisting teaching staff with learning resources when required
  • Completing administrative tasks related to library systems

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as a Library Assistant, School Administrator, or Teaching Assistant
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Passion for education, books, and supporting student learning
  • Confident working with secondary school students
  • Reliable, proactive, and approachable

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Able to commute to Haringey, North London
  • Professional references covering recent employment
  • Safeguarding
