Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality P.E. lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and departmental guidelines. Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities and progress. Provide constructive feedback to students, and communicate assessment outcomes to parents during parent-teacher meetings.
- Extracurricular Activities: Organize and lead extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and teams, fostering student participation and promoting a culture of physical fitness.
- Sports Events and Competitions: Coordinate and participate in school sports events, competitions, and inter-school tournaments. Encourage students to showcase their skills and sportsmanship during events.
- Equipment and Facility Management: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities. Collaborate with the school administration to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns related to P.E. facilities.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety guidelines during physical education classes and activities. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize potential hazards.
- Student Discipline: Implement and uphold school policies on behavior and discipline during P.E. classes and related activities. Foster a positive and respectful environment for students to engage in physical activities.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of new developments in physical education. Attend relevant workshops, training, and conferences to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
