Madison Reign is currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive IT Technician to join a secondary school based in Barking & Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional looking to work within education, supporting staff and students with day-to-day technical support across the school. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining IT systems, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the smooth running of classroom and office technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across the school
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues
- Support classroom technology including interactive boards and projectors
- Maintain laptops, desktops and printers
- Support Office 365, Windows and Active Directory systems
- Set up and configure new devices and user accounts
- Respond quickly to IT support requests from staff and students
- Assist with network maintenance and system updates
- Ensure safeguarding and data protection procedures are followed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an IT Technician or IT Support Engineer
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365 and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience working within a school environment desirable
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service REQUIRED
