Our client, an international corporate bank with a significant base in London is looking to bolster their finance function by hiring a VP of Finance. This role would report directly into the UK business head while also reporting administratively into the global head office.
The ideal candidate would be a qualified accountant with 12 years’ experience working in the corporate banking space, with exposure to corporate banking products, UK regulations, taxation laws and cross border transactions.
- Take ownership of the financial controls and governance for the entity.
- Handle all direct and indirect taxes of the branch (tax reporting & management).
- Act as the branch custodian, managing the general ledger, monitor and report all sundry account proofing.
Requirements:
- 10-12 years’ experience working in the finance functions of corporate banks in the UK/Europe.
- In depth understanding and exposure to corporate banking and financial products.
- Sound knowledge of UK banking regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and accounting qualification.
- Prior experience implementing core banking and ERP systems.
