Madison Hunt is partnered with a leading mid-market infrastructure investment platform, who are looking to build out the junior end of their Asset Management team. The platform invests across energy transition, utilities, transport, and social infrastructure, taking a majority ownership approach and working closely with management teams to drive long-term value. They take a proactive, hands-on approach to asset management, focusing on value creation through strategic planning, operational improvement, and close engagement with portfolio company leadership teams. Operating within a collaborative and growing team, this role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and early responsibility.
The Role
This is a broad, high-impact role combining financial analysis and modelling with commercial exposure to portfolio companies. Associates/Analysts are typically paired with a senior team member and a portfolio company, contributing across both strategic and day-to-day asset management activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Building, maintaining, and enhancing valuation models, including quarterly updates and scenario analysis
- Supporting business planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring across portfolio companies
- Analysing financial and operational performance to identify value creation opportunities
- Supporting strategic initiatives including bolt-on acquisitions, refinancing, and capital allocation decisions
- Interpreting financial statements, contracts, and commercial agreements to inform asset strategy
- Engaging directly with management teams, developing relationships and supporting key workstreams
- Preparing materials for internal discussions, board meetings, and investor reporting
- Contributing to broader firm initiatives, including cross-functional projects and portfolio-wide analysis
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a high-performing, numerically strong individual with a clear interest in infrastructure and asset management, and the ambition to take on increasing responsibility over time. We are seeking individuals with:
- 3+ years’ experience in a relevant environment (Big 4 or mid-market accounting firm, infrastructure or energy investment platform, investment banking, or corporate development)
- A strong foundation in financial modelling and valuations, ideally including DCF-based analysis
- Experience working with financial statements and an ability to translate data into commercial insights
- Exposure to management-facing environments or stakeholder interaction
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with high standards of accuracy and ownership
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
- A genuine interest in infrastructure investing and value creation
- An ACA (or equivalent) qualification is viewed favourably
- European language skills are beneficial but not essential
