A leading international infrastructure investment platform is seeking to hire an Investment Director into its European investment team, based in London. The role offers exposure across both core-plus and value-add infrastructure strategies, with a broad mandate spanning origination, execution, asset management and portfolio growth initiatives across Europe.

The successful individual will work closely with senior leadership across a diversified infrastructure portfolio and play a key role in identifying and executing investment opportunities across sectors including energy transition, transportation, digital infrastructure, utilities and social infrastructure. This hire may also form part of a broader geographical expansion into new regions across Europe, with a strong preference towards Southern Europe (particularly Iberia) and the Nordics, although the mandate is not limited to those markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Origination and execution of infrastructure investments across Europe
  • Leading transaction workstreams including structuring, diligence, financing and negotiations
  • Active involvement in portfolio management and value creation initiatives post-acquisition
  • Supporting development and scaling of sector and regional investment strategies
  • Managing relationships with management teams, advisors, lenders and institutional counterparties
  • Mentoring and overseeing junior investment professionals within the team
  • Supporting fundraising, co-investment and broader strategic initiatives where relevant
Candidate Profile
  • 8–12 years’ experience across infrastructure private equity, infrastructure investing or adjacent principal investing environments
  • Strong origination and transaction execution experience within European infrastructure
  • Experience across core-plus and/or value-add investment strategies
  • Broad infrastructure sector exposure, with particular interest in energy transition and operationally complex assets
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to operate autonomously within a lean team environment
  • Demonstrated portfolio and asset management exposure post-investment
  • European language skills are essential, with a strong preference towards Southern European and Nordic language capabilities
