Madison Hunt has been engaged by a leading global infrastructure and energy investment platform to support the expansion of its London-based investment team, aligned with continued growth in European investing activity. The firm is an active principal investor, deploying capital across Europe and North America through infrastructure equity strategies that span the capital stack. Investments include value-add and core-plus equity, alongside bespoke structured and hybrid equity solutions where complexity, structuring judgement, and downside protection are central to the investment thesis. The platform’s focus areas include energy transition, digital infrastructure, transportation, and industrial decarbonisation.
Operating at the intersection of real assets and private markets, the team combines rigorous investment discipline with the flexibility required to underwrite and structure complex capital solutions. The investment group is intentionally lean and highly selective, offering Associates early responsibility and broad exposure across both transactions and portfolio companies.
The Role

- Analysing risk, return, and capital structure dynamics from an equity-holder’s perspective, with a strong focus on downside protection and asymmetric return profiles.
- Supporting the structuring of tailored capital solutions, including preferred equity, minority equity, and bespoke governance and return mechanisms.
- Taking ownership of discrete diligence workstreams and engaging directly with advisors, management teams, and counterparties.
- Preparing investment committee materials and contributing to senior-level investment discussions.
- Supporting active asset management initiatives and post‑investment value creation.
