A leading developer is seeking a talented Senior Communications Manager to join its Corporate Affairs team. This is a pivotal role supporting the delivery of strategic, high-impact communications across a dynamic and high-profile portfolio.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering integrated communications campaigns that enhance brand reputation, drive engagement, and support ongoing growth. This position offers exposure to major projects, high-profile media opportunities, and large-scale campaigns within a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
- Partner with senior stakeholders to design and implement integrated communications strategies that align with wider business goals.
- Support activity across a broad mix of functions including development, residential, office, retail, leisure, and tourism.
Media Relations
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key media contacts to secure impactful coverage.
- Lead proactive press activity and manage media enquiries with professionalism and responsiveness.
Content & Messaging
- Produce high-quality, engaging content including press releases, executive briefings, speeches, and thought leadership pieces.
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand positioning across all external communications.
Agency & Campaign Management
- Oversee PR agencies across the UK and internationally, providing clear strategic direction and ensuring delivery against objectives and budgets.
- Support campaign activity, including influencer engagement, to maximise reach and audience connection.
Crisis & Reputation Management
- Play a key role in managing reputational risk, supporting crisis communications activity and taking the lead when required.
- Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication of sensitive issues.
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
- Provide strategic counsel and high-quality briefings to senior leadership for media engagements and key events.
- Act as a spokesperson when required, representing the business and building relationships with external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in communications, gained either in-house or within an agency
- Demonstrable success delivering integrated, strategic communications campaigns
- Strong media relations expertise across national, consumer, and trade press
- Excellent writing and storytelling ability across multiple formats
- Experience working in complex, fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders
- Confident engaging and influencing at a senior level
- Proven experience managing agencies, budgets, and campaigns
- Solid experience in crisis and issues management
- Experience within real estate, development, or placemaking environments
- Blend of corporate and consumer communications experience
- Exposure to influencer or content-led campaigns
