A leading privately owned UK real estate investment manager is seeking an outstanding Operations Manager to join its growing team who has the ambition to be a future COO. Following significant recent expansion, this is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued growth and evolution of a highly successful investment platform.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the successful candidate will help enhance and optimise the firm's operational infrastructure across fundraising, investment execution, portfolio management, governance, finance, technology and people operations. This is a broad, high-impact role, ideally suited to a commercially minded and strategically minded professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. The position offers significant exposure across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders, and presents a clearly defined pathway toward a future Chief Operating Officer position as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of operational processes across the business.
- Coordinate strategic projects and business initiatives, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timelines.
- Assist with fundraising processes, investor onboarding and reporting.
- Oversee and enhance management information, reporting frameworks and internal controls.
- Partner with finance, compliance, legal and technology teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Help manage third-party service providers and key business relationships.
- Contribute to organisational development, including systems, policies and people initiatives.
- Experience in a strategic, operational, finance, consulting, or business management role.
- Exposure to financial services, private markets, real estate, or a related professional services environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and strategic mindset.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Confident communicator, capable of building relationships across all levels of an organisation.
