The Role
They are seeking a commercially minded Commercial Real Estate Lawyer to join their in-house legal team.
This is a broad role offering exposure across commercial real estate transactions, development projects, asset management, property disputes and commercial contracting matters.
Working closely with the business, you will provide practical legal support across a varied property portfolio and play a key role in the management of real estate legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Real Estate Transactions & Development
- Provide legal expertise on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and corporate transactions.
- Support property development projects across the portfolio.
- Draft, negotiate and review transaction documentation.
- Advise on a range of commercial property matters affecting the business.
- Leasing & Asset Management
- Draft, negotiate and review commercial leases.
- Advise on landlord and tenant matters.
- Support the ongoing management of a diverse property portfolio.
- Help ensure legal risks are appropriately managed across property assets.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Manage and resolve real estate litigation matters.
- Advise on landlord and tenant disputes.
- Support cost-effective dispute management strategies.
- Coordinate with external legal advisers where required.
- Commercial Contracts
- Negotiate and draft commercial and supplier agreements.
- Support the business on contractual matters and commercial arrangements.
- Help safeguard the company's interests across supplier and operational contracts.
- Provide legal support on ad hoc commercial matters.
- Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 4+ years' PQE.
- Strong experience in commercial real estate law.
- Proven experience advising on acquisitions, disposals and development matters.
- Experience handling landlord and tenant issues and real estate litigation.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded with a strategic approach to legal matters.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability.
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience in hotel-related real estate matters.
- Previous in-house legal experience.
- Exposure to mixed-use property portfolios.
