Our client is a well-established UK property developer, known for delivering large-scale mixed-use developments encompassing residential, workspace, retail, leisure and community space. They take a long-term, city-building approach to everything they deliver, with a strong focus on creating places that work for the communities around them.

We're now recruiting on their behalf for an HR Advisor/Generalist to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This is a broad, hands-on generalist role, acting as the go-to HR support across the business and providing advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to offboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing employee relations casework, including disciplinary and grievance hearings, start to finish
  • Advising and coaching line managers on how to handle people issues before they escalate
  • Owning and updating HR policies, keeping them compliant and practical for managers to apply
  • Supporting recruitment from brief through to offer, partnering closely with hiring managers
  • Running L&D initiatives and supporting onboarding so new starters ramp up quickly
  • Managing offboarding processes end-to-end
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for people-related queries across the business

Key Requirements:

  • Generalist HR experience, ideally with exposure to ER/disciplinary casework
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites and with managers of varying HR experience
  • Organised and able to prioritise across competing generalist duties
  • CIPD Level 3+ (or working towards) desirable
  • Experience in real estate, retail, or hospitality
