Investment Analyst

Madison Cairn is an independent real estate investment, asset, and development company with a focus on developing and implementing specialised investment opportunities with a particular interest in leisure, Hotels, PBSA and BTR assets.

We\’re looking for the right candidate to join us on this journey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyse and interpret financial data, then relating it to business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

This is a key role required to drive analysis across both the investment pipeline and operating portfolio. The successful candidate will be underwriting new opportunities as well as managing performance and operations of existing assets.

Responsibilities

• Analyse potential investments, including underwriting and building financial models
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions, including research on project viability
• Produce investment committee presentations for new opportunities
• Support with sourcing of new acquisition opportunities
• Provide performance analysis during the investment lifecycle of operational assets
• Support on annual FP&A workstreams for the operating portfolio
• Support on monthly reporting workstreams for the wider business portfolio
• Work closely with the wider team to provide assistance across the wider business
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
• Maintenance of complex Excel models and reports

Skills & Experiance

• Experience in real estate investment
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Bachelor\’s degree / higher education qualification
• Ability to challenge Heads of department when required
