Madison Berkeley is delighted to be partnering exclusively with one of London's most recognisable mixed use destinations on the appointment of a Residential Property Manager. This is not your typical residential property management role. You'll be joining the ownership side of the business, acting as the landlord's representative across a landmark estate that combines luxury residences, affordable housing, retail, leisure and public realm within one of the capital's most iconic developments.

For candidates looking to move client side, opportunities of this calibre rarely come to market.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

The successful candidate will sit within a lean, high performing team and work directly alongside senior decision makers responsible for the long term performance and evolution of the estate. Whilst resident experience and operational oversight remain key responsibilities, this role offers significantly broader exposure than a traditional residential management position. You will gain visibility across:

  • Strategic oversight of external managing agents and service partners
  • Estate strategy and performance
  • Residential asset performance
  • Service charge management and financial planning
  • Leasehold matters and legal proceedings
  • Resident engagement and stakeholder management
  • Wider development, leasing and ownership initiatives

A key attraction of the role is the strategic nature of the position. This is a strategic client side role, providing oversight of the residential estate on behalf of the owner. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll oversee managing agent performance, protect asset value and gain exposure to both asset management initiatives and wider ownership strategy.

The Role

Acting as the owner's representative, you will oversee the performance of external managing agents whilst serving as a key point of contact for residents, leaseholders and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the day to day management of a substantial residential portfolio
  • Managing relationships with residents and leaseholders across a diverse community
  • Lease interpretation and leasehold management
  • Service charge oversight and financial performance monitoring
  • Managing escalated resident issues and dispute resolution
  • Supporting tribunal and legal matters where required
  • Conducting regular estate inspections
  • Working closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and estate performance

This is a highly visible position where your input will directly influence both resident satisfaction and the long term success of the estate.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Residential property management experience
  • Strong leasehold and service charge knowledge
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience dealing with residents, leaseholders and managing agents
  • A commercial mindset and interest in the ownership side of real estate
  • The confidence to operate autonomously within a lean team
  • Professional qualifications such as MARLA, TPI or AssocRICS would be advantageous but are not essential.

What's on Offer

Salary between £55,000 and £70,000

  • Discretionary bonus of up to 20%
  • Private Healthcare
  • 10% Employer Pension Contribution
  • Hybrid working
  • Exposure to one of London's most prestigious mixed use estates
  • Genuine client side experience
  • Exposure to asset management and ownership strategy
  • Long term progression opportunities

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Residential Property Manager looking to move closer to ownership, gain broader commercial exposure and play a key role in the ongoing success of one of London's most high profile developments. For a confidential discussion, please apply directly or contact Madison Berkeley.
