The Opportunity

One of the UK's leading real estate consultancies is looking to appoint a Surveyor / Senior Surveyor into its highly regarded Development Set Up team. This is one of the most unique opportunities currently available within commercial property management. Rather than managing completed assets, you'll work alongside developers, asset managers and project teams to shape how major developments will operate before they become live. You'll be involved from the early stages of the development lifecycle, advising on everything from estate management strategies and operational planning through to mobilisation, service charge structures and occupier experience. The team works on some of the UK's largest and most prestigious regeneration and mixed-use developments, partnering with leading developers, institutional investors and global real estate owners to ensure assets are operationally ready from day one. For someone with a background in commercial property management, this offers the opportunity to utilise your operational expertise whilst moving into a far more strategic, consultative and project-led environment.

The Role

  • Working as part of a specialist consultancy team, you'll advise clients throughout the development lifecycle, including:
  • Preparing Estate Management and Operational Strategies
  • Design for Management reviews
  • Service charge philosophy, budgeting and apportionment
  • Mobilisation planning and operational readiness
  • Drafting occupier documentation and management plans
  • Working alongside developers, consultants, project teams and asset managers to ensure developments transition seamlessly into operation
  • Building long-term client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.

Why Join?

  • Work on some of the UK's most significant and high-profile development projects.
  • Move away from day-to-day property management into a genuinely strategic consultancy role.
  • Gain exposure to major developers, institutional investors and complex mixed-use schemes.
  • Work alongside one of the most experienced Development Set Up teams in the market, learning from recognised industry leaders.
  • Broaden your commercial, technical and client advisory skills whilst remaining within the property management discipline.
  • Excellent long-term career progression within a growing specialist team.

About You

You'll ideally have 2-3 years experience within commercial property management and be looking to broaden your career into a more strategic, consultancy-led role. You'll enjoy working with clients, solving operational challenges and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, whilst wanting greater exposure to the wider development lifecycle and some of the most exciting projects in the UK.
