Global Listed RE Firm with an exceptional track record of delivering innovative prime assets across multiple countries, are entering an acquisitive phase across the UK and Europe. They target Value Add schemes, and really drive value through exceptional standards of development.
The Investment Manager will support, and where appropriate take responsibility for, workstreams relating to the analysis, underwriting and execution of development and investment opportunities across a range of asset classes, including office, residential and logistics. The role will cover opportunities in Central London, UK regional cities and Continental Europe, and will also support the disposal of stabilised assets.
The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong financial modelling and analytical capability with clear communication skills and sound commercial judgement. The role will involve regular interaction with the wider investment team, joint venture partners, internal specialists and external professional advisers, and may require occasional business travel.
Key responsibilities:
- Excel modelling of potential opportunities
- Undertake and prepare due diligence on potential acquisitions and assist with preparation of presentation material required to secure internal Board Approval.
- Support discussions and negotiations of investment and legal documentation (including sales & purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, development management agreements, loan agreements, etc.) with support of internal specialists and external advisors.
- Collect and analyse economic and real estate market data to support informal and formal internal presentations.
- Collaborate with existing and new JV partners in relation to underwriting of new opportunities.
- Prepare internal sanctions, meeting minutes, etc.
Requirements:
- Approximately five years’ relevant experience in real estate investment, development, transactions, advisory or a related field is desirable.
- Good understanding of the London real estate market, with an interest in wider UK and European investment markets.
- Strong Excel modelling experience, with the ability to appraise investment and development opportunities and communicate key outputs clearly.
- Numerate, analytical and commercially astute, with the ability to contribute effectively to complex transactions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear analysis, papers and presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player, able to work effectively within a small, dedicated team and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and meet deadlines.
- Personable, adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility over time.
This is a broad investment role suited to a candidate who is comfortable working in a collaborative, international environment and who is keen to develop across investment underwriting, transaction execution and strategic portfolio initiatives.
