Madison Berkeley are proud to be partnering with a highly regarded London estate known for their commitment to delivering the highest quality of properties across Central London. This role sits within a high-value residential portfolio across two major London locations, focused on refurbishment, repositioning and redevelopment of existing properties rather than large ground-up schemes. The goal is to make exceptional homes even more impressive.
The position blends numbers and delivery. You will have full cradle-to-grave responsibility from financial appraisal and underwriting through to consultant management, on-site execution and leasing/sale handover. Commercial confidence is essential, but in practice the work is delivery-led with multiple live projects running concurrently.
What is the role?
- Development Manager of prime residential properties
- Taking projects from feasibility through to handover
- Running multiple refurbishment, redevelopment and modernisation projects at one time, up to values of £5 million
- High-spec, design-sensitive works rather than volume development
- Appointing and managing architects, designers and consultants
- Regular exposure to listed / heritage assets and complex existing buildings
What will you bring?
- 3+ years in Development Management or feasibility-focused project management of high-end residential properties
- Comfortable moving between spreadsheet and site - able to interrogate appraisals, cashflows and cost plans without being purely finance-led
- Ability to manage a selection of smaller, unique projects with a design focus
- Exposure to listed buildings, conservation areas or heritage assets highly beneficial
- Commercially aware but quality-driven — someone who cares about finish, detail and end user experience, not just margin
