A well-established and fast-growing REIT is seeking two Asset Managers to join their London or Manchester based teams. With a high-quality, fully leased portfolio of over 1000 assets across the UK and Ireland, the business is backed by secure income streams and enjoys strong tenant demand in the current market. This is a rare opportunity to join a close-knit asset management team with a highly institutional and well-governed approach, supported by a clear growth trajectory and regular interaction with senior leadership.

The Role

As a result of the continued growth, an exciting and dynamic opportunity has arisen for two 1 year - 3 year PQE Surveyors to join the Asset Management team, with a specific focus on valuation, leasing and letting, landlord and tenant work including lease regears/ renewals and seeking out innovative development opportunities that add value to the overall portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and cultivating new AM opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Managing and delivering building refurbishment, extension and development opportunities from inception to completion.
  • Creating development appraisals and cash flow analysis to assess pipeline projects.
  • Co-ordinating and managing external advisors and consultants when implementing asset strategies.
  • Managing on site projects and appraising costs against budget to ensure our projects are delivered on programme and on budget.
  • Assisting with quarterly board reports.
  • Writing project specific board papers and recommendations for investment.
  • Updating internal project trackers and database information.

Candidate Profile

You will have previous work experience within a commercial asset management team environment either client side or for a consultancy and be capable of delivering a high quality service to promote and maintain good working relationships across a range of stakeholders in the business. The following skills are essential:

  • Attention to detail
  • Numerate with good Excel skills
  • Literate with a strong command of written professional language
  • Solid understanding of development appraisals, cash flows and property valuation
  • Analytical skill and experience with reviewing lease documents
  • Managing professional service provision including contractors, sub-contractors, solicitors and surveyors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a preference to collaborate as a team player
  • Highly organized and ability to manage own workload & work across multiple projects
  • Strong reporting ability
  • Happy to travel around the country - a full UK Driving Licence is essential
  • MRICS with 1 - 3 years PQE experience
