New role - Associate Director - Credit. Joining a privately owned short-term commercial lender based in central London. They provide loans on commercial property throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, across a wide range of sectors including residential investment property, commercial (including mixed use) and leisure businesses such as pubs and hotels.
The candidate should have an MRICS qualification and have experience working in a receivership advisory team.
Responsibilities:- Day to day management of enforcements, including pre-appointment recommendations to credit committee, liaising with professionals from security review through to repayment of the loan.
- Making recommendations to the Head of Credit on strategy for expired or non-performing loans.
- Agreeing terms for loan renewals which includes management of renewal process, liaising with solicitors and writing renewal credit papers.
- Weekly reporting on non-performing loans to Credit Committee.
- Manage professional advisors, including insolvency professionals, solicitors and valuers.
- Assisting the Head of Credit with review of valuation reports from time to time.
- Assisting the Head of Credit with the deal approval process from time to time.
- Maintain Ekeeper (loan management system) and other records for reporting purposes.
- At least three years of experience working in the property industry.
- Familiarity with the enforcement process and security instruments will be required and this will be tested as part of the interview process.
- Excellent written English, strong numerically, well-organised and methodical with good Microsoft Office skills.
- The candidate should have an MRICS qualification or have experience working for another lender working in their recoveries team.
- The candidate will have the right to work in the UK.
- The successful candidate will be driven, have good attention to detail and a genuine desire to contribute to the continued success of our business.
- They will be a team player, a self-starter who will look to evolve and enhance the non-performing side of the team, and be able to take direction well.
