A rare opportunity has arisen to join the investment arm of a globally recognised hospitality brand, supporting the expansion of its international hotel portfolio through complex development and acquisition opportunities.
Based in London, the role sits within a recently established real estate investment platform responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing major hospitality-led developments in gateway cities across Europe and North America. The platform operates as a principal investor, committing its own capital alongside external partners and working with institutional investors and high-net-worth capital.
With ambitious growth plans underway, the team is looking to appoint a Senior Investment Associate to work directly with the principals on the evaluation and execution of new opportunities. The wider group is an established owner and operator of luxury hotels and resorts, with a global portfolio spanning landmark city destinations and resort locations. Alongside owned assets, the brand also operates a number of hotels through management agreements worldwide.
The real estate investment platform has been established to drive the next phase of portfolio growth through large-scale hospitality-led developments, often involving mixed-use schemes in prime city centre locations. Typically, these projects combine a luxury hotel with residential for sale and other complementary uses to support development viability and maximise value creation.
The Senior Investment Associate will join a small, high-calibre team and play a central role in evaluating new development and acquisition opportunities, supporting underwriting, structuring and investment decision-making. The role offers significant exposure to senior decision-makers and the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile international projects.
- Investment Underwriting & Financial Modelling
- Building and maintaining complex ground-up development models
- Sensitivity analysis and downside testing across multiple development scenarios
- Deal Evaluation & Investment Analysis
- Assessing large-scale hospitality-led development opportunities in major gateway cities
- Evaluating mixed-use schemes incorporating hotel, residential and complementary uses
- Conducting market, demand and competitive analysis
- Investment Materials & Execution
- Preparing investment committee materials and strategic analysis
- Supporting capital partner presentations and investor materials
The successful candidate is likely to have 4–7 years’ experience within a rigorous real estate investment environment, such as:
- Real estate private equity
- Real estate investment banking
- Principal investment or development platforms
Exceptional financial modelling capability, particularly for development underwriting, strong analytical and commercial judgement. Exposure to hospitality, residential development or mixed-use schemes would be highly advantageous, particularly where residential sales are used alongside hotels to underpin development viability.
This role offers the chance to join a highly entrepreneurial investment platform working on a select number of large, complex and design-led developments in some of the world’s most desirable locations. Team members gain direct exposure to principals, meaningful involvement in investment decisions and the opportunity to help shape the next phase of growth for a globally recognised luxury hospitality brand.
