Madison Berkeley is partnering with a leading investment manager and operating partner with over £2bn AUM, focused on premium Central London office, retail, and residential assets. The business has an outstanding track record across Investment, Development, and Asset Management and is behind some of the capital’s most prestigious buildings. They are now looking to hire an Analyst / Associate to join a highly collaborative, close-knit team. The role offers genuine exposure across the full real estate lifecycle, working closely with senior investment, development, and asset management professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build bespoke financial models to support investment appraisals, underwriting, and development feasibility.
- Support development and asset management initiatives through detailed cash flow forecasting, budget tracking, and scenario analysis.
- Prepare quarterly asset-level reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality investment memorandums and presentations for investors and lenders following appraisal and due diligence.
- Assist with transaction structuring and tax considerations alongside external legal and accounting advisors.
- Work closely with investors, lenders, and internal teams throughout the acquisition, development, and asset management lifecycle.
- Participate in site visits and liaise with external consultants to ensure models reflect real-world assumptions.
- Support acquisition due diligence and contribute to sales and exit processes.
Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years’ experience in real estate investment, development, private equity, or a related financial role.
- Strong Excel-based financial modelling skills (DCF, IRR, sensitivities, development appraisals).
- Solid understanding of development processes and asset management principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing investment-grade materials.
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Comfortable coordinating with legal, tax, and technical advisors.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to assess risk and articulate investment opportunities.
