An ambitious and fast-growing Retail Real estate advisory firm is looking to appoint a Partner / Director level Retail Lease Advisory specialist to lead and develop this service offering. This is not simply an opportunity to join an established team and inherit a workload. It is an opportunity to build a service line, develop a team, win new business, become a key client adviser and ultimately own a meaningful part of the business.

The firm has an entrepreneurial approach to real estate, bringing together expertise across areas including asset management, investment, leasing and property management. Their work spans the UK retail market, including shopping centres, retail parks and out of town retail.

The successful individual will take a leading role in developing the firm's Retail Lease Advisory capability, with a particular focus on:

  • Out-of-town retail / Retail parks / Shopping centres / Retail investment portfolios
  • Lease renewals and restructurings / Rent reviews / Re-gears and wider lease negotiations / Strategic lease advisory and asset management advice

You will become a focal point for key clients, using your market reputation, relationships and technical expertise to generate fee income and create new opportunities. The firm's integrated approach means you will work closely with colleagues across Property Management, Investment, Leasing and Asset Management, identifying opportunities where lease advisory expertise can add value and actively driving cross-selling across the wider client base. This creates a genuine opportunity to leverage an existing platform and relationships while also bringing your own network and business development capability to the table.

As a senior figure within the business, you will have responsibility for:

  • Leading and developing the Retail Lease Advisory service line.
  • Growing fee income and building a sustainable pipeline of instructions.
  • Acting as a senior adviser and trusted point of contact for key clients.
  • Developing relationships with landlords, investors, occupiers and other property professionals.
  • Winning new instructions through your existing network and proactive business development.
  • Providing strategic lease advisory advice across retail parks, shopping centres and out-of-town retail assets.
  • Leading negotiations on rent reviews, lease renewals, regears and other lease events.
  • Building a team around you as the service line grows.

This opportunity is aimed at an established Partner, Director, Senior Director or experienced Retail Lease Advisory specialist who has built a strong reputation in the market and is ready for something more entrepreneurial.

You will likely have:

  • Significant UK retail lease advisory experience.
  • A strong track record across shopping centres, retail parks and/or out-of-town retail.
  • An established network of landlord, investor and/or occupier relationships.
  • A demonstrable ability to generate fee income and win new instructions.
  • RICS qualification is expected, together with a strong track record within the retail property market.

You will have the opportunity to shape the service line and build a team around you, rather than stepping into a rigid existing structure. Become the senior adviser and focal point for some of the firm's most important clients, while developing your own network and market profile. For the right individual, there is an opportunity to own a slice of the business and participate in the long-term value that you help create. The firm recognises that exceptional senior people should be rewarded accordingly. There is the opportunity to earn well through a combination of competitive remuneration and meaningful, performance-related bonuses. This is a business where senior people have the opportunity to make decisions, influence strategy and see the direct results of their contribution.

Lead the service line. Win the work. Build the team. Own a stake. Share in the success.
