Job Description
An independent and growing real estate investment and development firm is seeking an Asset Manager to join their close-knit and highly experienced team. With a strong track record in delivering value through complex projects, the company manages a UK-wide commercial portfolio. The business focuses on value-add and opportunistic strategies, working with a range of institutional and private equity investors.
This role offers excellent exposure to asset and development management, as well as the opportunity to play a key role in a business undergoing a new phase of growth, with multiple acquisitions recently completed and more in the pipeline.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Asset Manager will support the execution of asset-level business plans across a diverse commercial real estate portfolio. The role combines traditional asset management with exposure to development management, refurbishment, planning, and ESG implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and monitor asset-level business plans
- Manage external advisors and service providers
- Drive leasing activity, refurbishments, lease events, and repositioning strategies
- Oversee service charge budgets, capex, and revenue forecasts
- Support planning applications and development-related activities
- Implement ESG action plans
- Manage data rooms and materials for asset disposals
- Assist with onboarding newly acquired assets
Key Requirements:
- 4–6 years’ post-qualified experience in commercial real estate
- Background in leasing, asset, or property management (office and/or industrial preferred)
- Experience with service charge budgets and cashflow modelling
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Team-oriented and self-motivated
