MadiganGill's specialist Trades and Labour team are seeking a CSCS card holding Material Controller for a job in Ashby.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Material Controller to join a busy residential construction site team working for a well-established PLC housebuilder. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and organised skilled labourer looking to move into a long-term permanent role within site logistics and materials management. No previous Material Controller experience is required as full support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing stock levels within the site store
  • Organising and maintaining the site store efficiently
  • Coordinating where materials are placed and stored by Forklift Drivers (Forkie's)
  • Working closely alongside Assistant Site Managers (ASM's)
  • Ensuring materials are accessible, accounted for and stored safely
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the construction site

Requirements

  • Valid CSCS Card essential
  • No SSSTS required
  • Previous construction site experience preferred
  • Ideal for a strong and dependable skilled labourer
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
