We are looking for an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to take ownership of logistics on a large student accommodation project in Wembley. The site is highly constrained and logistically challenging, requiring strong control of deliveries, vehicle movements, material distribution, hoists, storage, waste and housekeeping. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, organised and capable of planning logistics around the construction programme, particularly through the busy fit-out stages. Key Responsibilities * Manage and continually develop the site logistics plan in line with the construction programme. * Manage all deliveries, booking systems, vehicle movements and traffic management. * Coordinate unloading areas, storage, cranes, hoists and material distribution. * Plan and manage vertical logistics, ensuring materials reach the correct floors and workfaces when required. * Produce weekly logistics look-aheads and identify constraints before they affect the programme. * Coordinate subcontractor delivery and logistics requirements. * Manage logistics supervisors, traffic marshals, hoist drivers, labourers and waste teams. * Maintain high standards of housekeeping, waste management and site organisation. * Ensure safe pedestrian/vehicle segregation and compliance with site H&S procedures. * Control material storage and minimise double handling and congestion. * Work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Managers and subcontractors throughout structure, envelope, fit-out and completion. * Coordinate high-volume fit-out and FF&E deliveries during the later stages of the project. Candidate Requirements: * Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on a major construction project. * Experience on constrained London/urban sites. * Ideally previous student accommodation, residential or hotel experience. * Strong understanding of multi-storey construction, hoists and material distribution. * Experience managing logistics teams and subcontractors. * Strong planning, communication and organisational skills. * Ability to understand construction programmes and plan logistics accordingly. * SMSTS and CSCS required. * First Aid and Lifting Supervisor qualifications advantageous. The Candidate: We are looking for a hands-on, proactive Logistics Manager who can take full ownership of a challenging site. They must be confident managing subcontractors, planning ahead and coordinating multiple trades competing for limited access, storage and logistics resources. The key objective is simple: ensure labour and materials get to the right place at the right time, safely and efficiently, without logistics becoming a constraint on the programme
