We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver a range of refurbishment and small works projects as part of the Stansted Airport Framework. Typical schemes include terminal refurbishments, toilet upgrades, car park improvements, and small new-build operational facilities. The role involves managing day-to-day site operations within a live airport environment, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Oversee all site activities, supervising subcontractors and direct labour. * Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and airport operational requirements. * Manage short-duration programmes, coordinating trades and logistics efficiently. * Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions. * Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. * Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and H&S documentation. * Liaise closely with the Project Manager, client representatives, and airport authorities. * Manage site logistics, security, and access controls in line with airport procedures. * Drive productivity and ensure handovers are completed to schedule. Requirements * Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or infrastructure refurbishment projects (£2m–£5m). * SMSTS (or SSSTS), CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification. * Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and RAMS management. * Excellent organisational and communication skills. * Experience working in live or secure environments (airport experience desirable). * Trade or construction management background.
