Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Manager or Working Site Supervisor to oversee a range of small construction and refurbishment projects at Stansted Airport. The role will involve managing both internal and external works, with a focus on small building projects such as security huts, toilet refurbishments, and minor building upgrades. Role Responsibilities * Manage and deliver small-scale construction and refurbishment works on site. * Oversee both internal and external packages β including fit-out, cladding, finishes, and minor civils. * Supervise trades and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship. * Liaise with airport stakeholders, ensuring works comply with airport operational and security requirements. * Plan works efficiently to meet programme deadlines. * Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed and site documentation is up to date. * Handle site inductions, permits, and toolbox talks as required. * Carry out quality inspections and report progress to the Project Manager. Requirements * Previous experience managing or supervising small building or refurbishment projects, ideally in a live environment (airports, rail, schools, or hospitals). * Strong understanding of both internals and externals. * DBS clearance is a distinct advantage (or the ability to obtain one). * Experience working within airports or secure environments highly desirable. * Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications. * Good organisational and communication skills, with a hands-on, proactive approach. * Able to work independently and manage multiple small packages at once.
