We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take a lead role on a high-profile Porsche car showroom refurbishment project. This is a design and build scheme, and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial delivery of the project, reporting directly to and supported by the Managing QS. The role is split between site in Portsmouth (2 days per week) and London office (2 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management of the showroom refurbishment project
- Manage project costs from pre-construction through to final account
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Variations management and valuations
- Liaising with project managers, site teams and client representatives
- Ensuring commercial compliance and risk management
- Supporting the Managing QS with reporting and commercial strategy
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within main contracting
- Experience delivering refurbishment projects (commercial/retail preferred)
- Design & Build experience essential
- Strong subcontract procurement and package management experience
- Ability to manage a project commercially with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
