Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major construction project in Norwich. Reporting to the Contracts Director, you will take overall responsibility for programme, budget, quality, health and safety, and stakeholder management, ensuring successful project delivery from pre-construction through to completion. This role offers the opportunity to move into a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from mobilisation to handover.
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes and delivery strategies.
  • Monitor project performance against budget, programme, and quality targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
  • Chair progress meetings and provide regular project reporting.
  • Identify and manage project risks, variations, and commercial opportunities.
  • Coordinate procurement activities and resource planning.
  • Ensure successful project completion and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
  • Experience delivering refurbishment, remediation, residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, commercial management, and contract administration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver projects to programme.

Essential Qualifications

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Black Card (or equivalent)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • MCIOB or working towards professional accreditation.
  • Experience working under JCT contracts.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.

Experience: Ideally 5+ years' Project Management experience delivering projects valued between £2m–£20m+, with a strong track record of managing construction projects through to successful completion.
