Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Manager to lead all site logistics planning and coordination across the development. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe delivery, storage, and movement of materials, as well as the smooth coordination of site activities to support the construction programme. Project Overview: This is a major mixed-use construction development located in central Bristol. The project includes: * 152 residential apartments * 3 commercial units at ground floor level * 4 roof terraces for communal/private use * A single-level basement car park with 66 spaces The scheme involves tight urban logistics, multiple stakeholders, and complex interface management between residential and commercial elements. Key Responsibilities: Logistics Planning: * Develop and implement a site-wide logistics plan in collaboration with the site team. * Coordinate delivery schedules, material movement routes, and crane/lifting strategy. Site Coordination: * Manage all deliveries and waste removal to ensure minimal disruption in a tight city centre location. * Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to manage just-in-time deliveries. * Maintain clear access and egress routes for vehicles, emergency services, and pedestrian safety. Facilities & Welfare: * Ensure site welfare and accommodation facilities are maintained and compliant. * Manage the movement and maintenance of site hoardings, walkways, signage, and traffic control systems. Health & Safety: * Enforce site traffic management plans and pedestrian segregation. * Liaise with H&S teams to ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company policies. * Conduct regular safety audits related to logistics operations. Stakeholder Interface: * Liaise with local authorities, neighbours, and utility providers regarding traffic disruptions, deliveries, and road closures. * Interface with commercial and residential contractors regarding shared logistics and access planning. Key Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Logistics Manager (or similar) on medium to large residential/commercial projects. Experience working on mixed-use developments or complex urban sites. Proven ability to plan and manage complex site logistics and delivery schedules. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and critical path activities. SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential). CSCS card (essential). CPCS Traffic Marshal (preferred). Experience using logistics planning software or digital platforms (desirable). Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to lead by example and enforce high safety standards. Working Conditions: Full-time, site-based role. Monday to Friday, occasional weekend working as required by the programme. PPE and relevant equipment provided
