We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to work on the HMP Glasgow project. This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile, secure site, ideal for a candidate with strong organisational skills and experience managing logistics on large construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all logistics operations across the site, ensuring efficient coordination of materials, plant, and deliveries
- Manage site access, traffic management, and security procedures in line with HMP requirements
- Supervise subcontractors, logistics teams, and site operatives
- Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and site protocols
- Coordinate with project managers and main contractors to maintain programme schedules
- Maintain clear communication across all site teams and stakeholders
- Resolve any logistical challenges to minimise disruption to the project
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
- Experience working on secure or high-security sites (preferred)
- Valid SMSTS certification
- CSCS card (Manager level)
- First Aid at Work certification
- Full PPE
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work within strict security procedures and deadlines
