We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join a major project in Glasgow. This is a key role responsible for overseeing and coordinating all site logistics, ensuring the smooth and safe movement of materials, labour, and deliveries across the project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction logistics, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain high health & safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all site logistics operations
- Oversee delivery schedules, site access, and traffic management plans
- Manage logistics teams, including banksmen, traffic marshals, and gate staff
- Ensure all site logistics comply with health & safety regulations
- Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Maintain site security and control access/egress points
- Monitor and manage storage areas and material handling processes
- Resolve any logistical issues quickly to avoid delays to the programme
- Produce and maintain logistics plans and reports
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on construction projects
- Strong understanding of site logistics, planning, and coordination
- Experience working on large-scale or complex schemes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage teams and multiple site activities simultaneously
Essential
- Basic Scottish Disclosure (must be in place or willing to obtain)
Desirable
- Previous MOJ (Ministry of Justice) project experience
- Experience working on secure or high-profile sites
