Building Services Manager in City of Westminster

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to oversee MEP services across commercial projects from pre‑construction through to project delivery. The role involves leading design coordination, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all services are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality.

Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Construction

• Review MEP designs, specifications, and tender documents.
• Provide technical input for bids, value engineering, and design development.
• Support procurement: define scopes, assess tenders, identify risks.
• Coordinate with designers and consultants to resolve technical queries.
• Assist in developing pre‑construction programmes and logistics strategies.

Project Delivery

• Manage MEP subcontractors through installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design and regulations.
• Lead services coordination meetings and interface with site teams.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and certification.
• Manage technical queries, changes, and service‑related risks.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing building services for a main contractor.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems in commercial buildings.
• Experience in both pre‑construction and live project environments.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Professional memberships and site certifications desirable.
