Logistics Site Manager required in Norwich.
Madigan Gill's specialist Trades and Labour team are seeking an experienced Logistics Site Manager for a long-term project in Norwich.
The Logistics Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site logistics, maintaining high standards across the project and acting as a trusted key holder for the site.
The successful candidate will be required to unlock the site each morning and ensure the site is securely locked up at the end of each working day.
The Logistics Site Manager must
- Hold a valid SMSTS qualification.
- Hold a valid CSCS card appropriate to the role.
- Hold a valid First Aid qualification.
- Hold a valid Asbestos Awareness certificate.
- Have previous experience managing logistics on a busy construction site.
- Have a good understanding of façade works and the sequencing and logistical requirements associated with façade packages.
- Be computer literate and confident using computers, tablets and site-based management systems.
- Be able to accurately record and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspections and site records.
- Be capable of coordinating site deliveries, access routes, storage areas, waste management and general site logistics.
- Be trustworthy and dependable, as the role will include responsibility for unlocking the site at the beginning of the day and securing the site each evening.
- Be polite, professional and presentable when dealing with the client, subcontractors, site operatives and other members of the project team.
- Have full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hat, boots, hi-vis and goggles.
- Have previous experience in a similar Site Manager or Logistics Manager role and be reliable, hard-working and punctual.
- Have strong communication and organisational skills and be able to work both independently and as part of the wider site management team.
- Be proactive in identifying logistical issues and resolving problems before they impact the programme.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and site presentation throughout the project.
This is a temporary position on a long-term project expected to run for approximately 36-38 weeks.
