MadiganGill is working with a well-established construction company delivering high-quality projects across Residential and commercial sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Managing subcontractor procurement and contract administration
- Valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Risk management and value engineering
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and suppliers
- Attending site meetings and progress reviews
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Strong IT skills (Excel, cost management software, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Membership or working towards membership of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) desirable not essential
