It’s about building a culture, developing people, and creating a home where children feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.
- Leading, motivating, and developing a brilliant team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers
- Creating strong rotas, overseeing inductions, training, and performance (and doing it fairly and consistently)
- Making sure care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding records are always up to scratch
- Good or Outstanding OFSTED outcomes
- Most importantly — creating a nurturing, trauma‑informed environment where young people can truly thrive
Previous experience as a Registered Manager (or similar role)
Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours
Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare — or willingness to complete it within 2 years (we’ll fund it!)
A full UK driving licence
A calm, resilient, and consistent approach grounded in trauma‑informed care
Flexibility to support the rota when needed (teamwork matters here)
