We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join the Madiba team as a Deputy Manager at our Holmfirth based home.
What will I be doing as a Deputy Manager?
- Support in the leadership and management of the home, deputizing in the Registered Manager's absence.
- Take lead with report writing, care plans, risk assessments and leading multi-agency meetings (with direction).
- Assist the Registered Manager in providing an emotionally secure, consistent, caring and supportive environment for the young people with us.
- Developing positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies.
- Receive ongoing training and practical experience of doing most aspects of the job of a Registered Manager as part of continuing professional development.
What we are looking for:
- Must have achieved a minimum Level 3/4 Diploma in Children's & Young People's workforce or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- A good level of IT & admin skills are essential.
- Ability to interact with a range of people/young people.
- Able to provide consistency of care and support to the young people.
- Experience working with children who may display challenging behaviour.
- Experience working in a multi-occupancy home (preferred).
- Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities (preferred).
- Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends & bank holidays.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Candidates must be over 21 to meet the industry regulations.
This is a full time role averaging 37.5 on a weekly rota - 3 days 9.00am-4.30pm admin days and 1 day to support on shift (15.5 hours).
