Responsibilities
- Developing positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies.
- Contributing to the young persons care plans and any risk assessments, supporting with implementation and reviews.
- Supporting young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional wellbeing.
- Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required.
Previous experience is not a requirement for this role as we provide 3 weeks classroom training followed by 1 week of shadow shifts to ensure that you feel confident and well equipped to start your new role!
What we are looking for
- We welcome applications from people who have previous experience in a children's residential setting or similar role.
- People who have the ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly.
- The ability to work independently, manage risk and use their initiative.
- A full UK driving licence.
- You must also be over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations.
- Level 3 / 4 Diploma in Children's & Young Peoples workforce would be great although this is not essential.
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends - our shifts are 22:30pm to 8:00am with 4 nights on 4 nights off rotation.
