Company Description
Mademoiselle Macaron is a Parisian-inspired luxury macaron brand recently voted as the UK’s Online Bakery of the Year. What began as a small market stall in Edinburgh in 2013 has grown into a nationally recognised brand, creating elegant, handcrafted macarons for gifting, celebrations, and some of the world’s most recognisable companies, including Chanel, Moët & Chandon, and AMEX. At the heart of the brand is a simple idea: to create moments. Whether it’s a thoughtful gift, a wedding centrepiece, or a corporate brand activation, every macaron is designed to feel special.
Role Description
We are looking for a proactive, execution-focused marketing intern to support our day-to-day content output. This is a temporary hybrid role based in Edinburgh, with Mondays and Thursdays on site, and is a hands-on role for someone who wants to do, not just learn. You will be responsible for producing marketing emails, social content, and blog articles every week, contributing directly to live campaigns and revenue-driving activity.
What You'll Be Doing
- Write and schedule 3 marketing emails per week (Klaviyo)
- Create and publish daily social media content (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Write 1 SEO-focused blog per fortnight
- Adapt content for ads and campaigns
- Source and organise user-generated content (UGC)
- Support campaign execution (e.g. seasonal launches, product drops)
- Assist in writing copy for product listings and landing pages
Qualifications
We care more about attitude and output than qualifications. You are:
- Interested in content, branding, and digital marketing
- Can show examples of your own content either on a personal account or for an organisation, student body etc.
- Adept at spotting social media trends
- Have a basic understanding of web analytics and SEO
- Happy to be in front of the camera creating content as well as editing it
- A strong writer with attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and at speed
- Proactive, you spot what needs done and do it
Bonus (not essential):
- Experience with platforms such as Canva, Klaviyo, or Shopify
What You'll Gain
- Real experience using key e-commerce platforms (Klaviyo, Shopify, Meta Business Suite, Triple Whale, Gorgias)
- Exposure to how an established e-commerce brand operates
- A strong portfolio of published work (email, social, blog)
- Experience using AI tools within a live marketing environment
Important
This is not a purely strategic or observational internship. It is an execution-heavy role where you will be expected to produce work consistently and take ownership of your output. This is a 4 day/week role, Monday-Thursday for 30 hours total. Hourly rate is £12.71.
We aim to close this job listing by Friday 1st May and have interviews the following week with a proposed start date of 18th May. The internship will run for 12 weeks.
Still Interested?
As part of your application, please provide one example of writing (email, social media caption, or blog) and a short paragraph explaining why this role suits you and what you could bring to it.
