Role Purpose

To manage the scale up of our products from the kitchen to the bakery by supporting the development and production teams to successfully launch new products within the agreed timelines and to ensure correct procedures are followed as documented in the Company’s NPD procedure.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To work alongside NPD, Planning and Technical Teams to plan, prepare and run trials to deliver against customer requirements and to suggest process improvements as part of the trial.
  • To ensure all trials are completed in line with the critical path or customer expectations.
  • To ensure all raw materials are on site before trials commence.
  • To produce trial reports for all trials, ensuring all actions and amendments to the trials are accurately recorded.
  • To lead pre and post trial meetings with all relevant departments whilst agreeing on next steps.
  • To ensure all documentation as detailed in the NPD procedure is completed pre and post trial.
  • To monitor and cost all labour as part of the trial process whilst actively ensuring the production trials are run in the most cost-efficient lean manner.
  • To log all labour costings from trials, referring back to the initial costing.
  • To perform any other reasonable task at the request of the management of Mademoiselle Desserts.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Food Science Degree or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of product launch process
  • Two to three years experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment
  • Knowledge of bakery processes and equipment
  • A confident communicator, team player along with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Organized, keen eye for detail and can work to deadlines.
  • MS Office.
