Senior Finance Business Analyst

Our client has embarked on a major strategic project to move their current on premise finance system to SaaS by the end of 2025.

To support the success of this project and wider Finance system work they require an experienced Senior Finance Business Analyst to work across both Finance and Technical teams to gain a deeper understanding of business requirements, desired outcomes and priorities to translate these into solutions within Unit4 BusinessWorld and related systems.
It is essential that the successful candidate has extensive hands-on experience with Unit4 BusinessWorld.
Monthly Deliverables are expected to include: Clear prioritisation of requirements and communication of this to Finance stakeholders and the technical team.
Solution design of Financial systems, integrations and reports to meet business needs.
Transition of users from BusinessWorld desktop to web interface, including business process changes Analysis and rationalisation of BusinessWorld customisations and integrations in readiness for SaaS Analysis and rationalisation of BusinessWorld reports in readiness for SaaS Coordinate user training requirements All work captured within AzureDevOps tool as Epics/Features/User Stories with necessary details attached.
The successful candidate will: Provide evidence of extensive hands on experience with Unit4 BusinessWorld system.
Demonstrate evidence of eliciting and analysing complex requirements and translating these into successful solutions.
Have experience gained ideally within a Higher Education establishment.
Be happy to be based from the client site in Lancashire 3 days a week.
Proven experience using Agile for delivery Indepth knowledge of Unit4 BusinessWorld Hands on experience of Azure DevOps The Senior Finance Business Analyst will also work closely with the Finance leadership team, representing their requirements and priorities within the project and ensuring the necessaryresource is made available.
The Senior Finance Business Analyst will also act as an advisor to the Project Board including the CFO and other senior stakeholders.
This contract role is for 6 months initially, with the potential to extend further.
