Made Tech wants to positively impact the country's future by using technology to improve society. To achieve this, we must ensure our people feel as invested in their own growth as they are in our clients' success. We want a workplace where high performance and human support coexist - where the journey from candidate to leader is defined by clear career paths, intentional development, and a culture of belonging.
As our Talent Acquisition Practitioner, you are at the heart of our growth, owning the full-cycle recruitment journey for a wide range of roles across the business. You aren't just a "CV sorter"; you are a talent scout who understands the specific needs of our various, diverse professional disciplines.
You will work closely with hiring managers to define what great looks like, source diverse talent pools, and manage a candidate experience that is tech optimised, fast, fair, and human. You will advocate for our internal talent, working with Talent and Learning colleagues to ensure that internal mobility isn't just a policy, but a proactive and supported career path for every Made Tech employee.
Responsibilities- Full-Cycle Recruitment Delivery: Lead the end-to-end hiring process for varied roles across the business - from initial briefing and sourcing to offer negotiation and handover to the Enablement team.
- Proactive Sourcing & Pipelines: Use a diverse variety of tools (LinkedIn, Hackajob, AI sourcing tools, community networks) to find and engage with passive talent. You will build talent banks for recurring roles so we can hire with speed when the business needs it.
- Inclusive Sourcing & Selection: Proactively source and engage with diverse talent pools through community outreach and specialised networks to ensure representative diversity.
- Market Intelligence: Regularly scan the external tech landscape to provide hiring managers with real-time data on competitor moves, salary benchmarks, and talent availability.
- Hiring Manager support: Act as a trusted advisor to managers; helping them to write compelling adverts and JDs, coaching them on inclusive interviewing techniques, and providing regular data-led updates on their vacancies.
- Candidate Experience Excellence: Ensure every candidate - regardless of the outcome - has a positive, high-feedback experience. You are the face of Made Tech and the primary guardian of our reputation during the hiring process.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Actively contributing to the Made Tech EVP by identifying human stories to share and showcase our culture externally.
- Recruitment Operations Support: Partner with the People Enablement team to ensure our ATS is up-to-date and that the administrative side of hiring (contracts, onboarding triggers) is seamless and error-free; identifying and flagging operational bottlenecks, proactively suggesting automation or process improvements to reduce Time to Hire.
- Internal Mobility Advocate: Proactively identify and support internal candidates for open roles. You will act as a career consultant for our people, helping them navigate internal moves and ensuring a consistent experience with external candidates.
- End-to-End Recruitment Experience: Proven track record in a fast-paced environment (ideally tech or consultancy) managing multiple roles simultaneously.
- Sourcing Capability: Confident and demonstrable experience in using advanced search techniques and tech tools to find talent beyond job boards.
- Stakeholder Management: The ability to influence and guide hiring managers, providing positive challenge when needed to ensure we hire the right culture-adds.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Experience in building and nurturing talent pools that reflect a diverse professional landscape, ensuring representative diversity for recurring and critical roles.
- Organisational Agility: Ability to pivot quickly between different roles and priorities without losing an eye for detail and Zero-Error mindset.
- Internal Mobility understanding: A passion for talent development and an understanding of why retaining our best people is as important as hiring new ones.
- Tech Advocate & Adopter: An obvious desire and ability to source and share innovation in tech to improve the people experience and recruitment lifecycle efficiency.
- All round HR generalist: Willingness to flex to support across people team activities when demand requires.
- Empathy and people skills: A genuine care for the people who you work with and those who want to work with us, ensuring they have a great experience and expectations are exceeded.
