Overview
Role: Client Partner in Public Safety & Defence (with a strong focus on Home Office).
Responsible for growing a portfolio of strategic accounts, leading the creation and execution of strategic account plans, and working with account teams to achieve growth goals.
You will report to an Industry Director and communicate Made Tech’s value proposition to audiences with varying levels of digital maturity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own a strategic account plan for each client; identify and pursue opportunities; build and sustain senior-level relationships to achieve growth targets.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business problems, public sector context, and department policies; articulate Made Tech’s value proposition effectively.
- Lead qualification, pursuit, and capture of opportunities; manage a multi-million-pound annual sales target (typical range £5M–£20M).
- Lead on-building and guiding cross-functional account teams; establish clear roles, drive execution, and act as the account’s CEO to deliver value for clients and Made Tech.
- Drive outreach and networking across multiple channels; build relationships with stakeholders up to C-level and secure referrals and opportunities.
- Provide sales leadership with a focus on commercial governance, profitability, rate-card negotiation, and collaboration with client commercial teams; support proposal development and pursuit teams.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience in strategic account management for public sector clients; knowledge of public safety, defence, or Home Office contexts is desirable.
- Proven track record of growing strategic accounts and delivering multi-million-pound revenue targets.
- Ability to communicate, influence, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-level audiences.
- Understanding of digital service concepts, public sector trends, and agile delivery approaches.
- Strong commercial acumen: profitability, contracting, governance, and risk management.
- Home Office experience or existing relevant networks is beneficial but not essential.
